And ye shall go forth in the power of my Spirit, preaching my gospel, two by two, in my name, lifting up your voices as with the sound of a trump, declaring my word like unto angels of God. Doctrine & Covenants 42:6

The Tower from Beyond!

I'm not sure what the title means. So don't ask.

I thought I should take a few seconds and let you know what's been going on in my life.

To be honest, not a lot has been going on. There was one spectacular day where Elder Alba and I taught 5 lessons in one day. That was pretty great. We found 2 new investigators that day as well. That was probably the highlight of the week.

On Friday I was on exchanges in the North area of the San Bernardino 4th ward with Elder Harrison. We had a pretty good time there. We taught a couple of decent lessons. We met this one man who has had the most interesting life I've heard of. He was in the army and while on a weekend pass was falsely taken to prison and spent 12 years there. He spent 3 months in a coma because of an accident that he had while truck-driving. He's just had a crazy life and he still just wants to follow Jesus. I'm kinda disappointed that this man isn't in my area, but I'm glad that some good Elders will be teaching him.

I just don't feel like there is that much to tell all of you about this past week. It was just a decent week. Nothing new really happened. The work is fine, we've been meeting regularly with our investigators and less-actives we have been working with. Not a whole lot of progression happening there, but I still love them and want the best for them.

Today was pretty cool, though. Just this past transfer the San Bernardino zone was split into 2 parts. So that means I'm in the San B B zone. This includes 3 companionships down in the "valley" and 3 companionships up in the mountains. So it is rare that the whole zone actually meets together because of mileage limitations. But since my companion and I have been diligent at not driving a ton of miles we had 400 extra miles to use for the rest of the month today. So we were able to drive up to the mountains today to do an activity with the entire zone. We went to this temple of sorts that was built nearly 100 years ago. Some guy from Asia wanted to bring Buddhism and Christianity together and he built a temple and some other features in the mountains. It was really cool to visit.

After that we played my favorite missionary sport, Gatorball! I was super happy. But now I've got some gnarly blisters on my feet, but they were totally worth it!

This upcoming week we will be getting transfer calls! I can't believe it is time again. Man, time zooms by here in California. I'm pretty sure time flows differently here than in Utah. I'm gonna ask some sort of scientist to do research on that for me. I'll let you know how it goes.

Now go, and be Golden,

Elder R. Sage Taylor

I just got this from another Elder in my zone. This is all the missionaries that went up to the temple thing this morning. The two guys in the middle run the place. Ivan, the guy with gray hair, actually gave us the tour.

These are all just various parts of some kind of holy grounds we went on a tour to. It was up in the mountain city of Crestline. Really net experience for sure. There was a temple, a meditation spot and a place called the God Pillars. I'm not quite sure what kind of beliefs the person that built these things had, but he built some cool things.
