And ye shall go forth in the power of my Spirit, preaching my gospel, two by two, in my name, lifting up your voices as with the sound of a trump, declaring my word like unto angels of God. Doctrine & Covenants 42:6

Easter and Stuff

Man, thanks to all of you who wished me a happy birthday! It's been awesome to be able to read all the great things from you. But, because of that I just don't have all that much time left. I guess that's an alright problem to have.

First off, two great things happened this week! Both of them were baptisms! The first one, on Wednesday, was for a girl named Lucia that Elder Hevner and I started teaching a few months ago. When the sister missionaries got here we handed her off to them. And then she got baptized this week, so that's always a good thing. The other baptism was for a girl named Emily. Her baptism was also spectacular.

Another great thing, brought upon by a not so good thing, is that we got a car again! This is because Elder Hevner hurt his leg two weeks ago, and after hours of doctor's visits the mission nurse said that my companion shouldn't be riding a bike, so President Van Cott gave us a car. Oh yeah! It's been awesome.

We've been having a pretty decent week in terms of teaching. We taught our investigator, John, twice this week. He totally believes that Joseph Smith is a prophet. We taught him about the Word of Wisdom and when we were going through it he said something to the effect of, "If Joseph Smith said this in 1833 he had to have been a prophet." It's really cool to have a solid investigator.

Well, that's that. Elder Hevner and I just keep trekking. It's been really cool to be able to have him be my companion for a third transfer. That's the only time I get this opportunity.

Have a great week!
